For images in this gallery I have shamelessly copied traditional art from the web and from print, and manipulated, colored, collaged and layered them with my own fractal and digital art and textures. Artists who have been abused this way include (in no particular order) Edward Hopper, Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Clovis Aquino, Patrick John Mills, Amedeo Modigliani, William De Kooning, Egon Schiele, Francesco Clemente, and others. In all cases permision to copy and use this art has neither been sought nor granted. In some cases the original art is unrecognizable; in other cases the likeness is clear. So be it. My intent has been to show that digital art does not fall into a limbo of its own, but is tied by tradition, history and practice to the visual fine arts, contemporary and past. In a word, that art is a continuum. I hope with these images I have added something new to that idea.
