Victor Cinquino

"Vic Cinquino has spent most of his life in the Capitol / Upstate region of New York, USA.
He studied architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1968.

"He has spent the last 42 years practicing architecture in his home region, with the last thirty years as principal in his own firm.
His work includes a wide range of building types such as religious facilities, schools, community buildings, geriatric care centers
as well as single and multi-family residential work. His other interests include graphic design, woodworking, sailing and alpine skiing.

"In the mid 1980's, Vic developed an affinity for the computer as a significant tool in his work, with an emphasis on computer-aided drawing.
Several years ago he also began experimenting with several applications as rendering tools to illustrate his design work to better communicate with his clients.
That experimentation has led him to the exploration of digital tools as a means to create art.
His goal is to use this technology rather than the traditional tools of brush, knife and canvas.
His intent is to go beyond the mere application of 1's and 0's or mathematical constructs to create truly fluid, dynamic and one-of-a kind works of art.

"The initial crop of work is rich with vibrant, bold colors and textures.
With the advent of high quality Giclee printing technology these rich colors and textures can be transferred from the computer to archival quality media."
