"In World War II my Navy training in electronics inspired a desire to experiment with mechanical and optical devices for producing art with new goals. Ultimately this led to use of the computer once it became affordable and developed consumer-oriented graphic and animation programs.

"My animations are composed on the computer using the Adobe Flash program. When an animation is completed an appropriate musical background is added. My aesthetic goal is to create an abstract composition with the added dimension of time--essentially a form of visual music."
